My house design is among my favorite pieces. The whole design is based off a photograph of my house during the middle of the day. In this piece, I used the art elements line, shape, color, and texture to help give my design more details and complete it overall. I used line to give my house an outline and to make smaller details, such as the siding on the house, noticeable. I used shape to make my house feel two- dimensional, by only designing it with a height and length, not a width. I used color throughout the design to help characteristics of the house, like the stones and the plants stand out. I used the element of texture to give some of the qualities of the house, such as the trees, bushes, and grass, a sense of roughness. The most successful part of this design is definitely the amount of detail and effort put into the smallest characteristics of the house, like the stones, siding, and plants.
